Members only.  The trip cost covers the pretrip dinner, a car rental for every 4 people, 11 days of lodging, many breakfasts, a possible picnic dinner at Cathedral Rock and one dinner out. On day 1, fly to Las Vegas then drive 250 miles to Prescott, Arizona. We hope to arrive in time to enjoy one of Prescott's historical landmarks, Whiskey Row. Day 2, we are headed to the historical gold mining town Jerome and Tuzigoot National Monument on our way to Sedona. We stay in Sedona for three nights giving you time to enjoy the beauty of this area with its red rocks. red canyons, art galleries, striking scenery, desert life and spectacular hikes. Day 5, we head north stopping at Walnut Creek National Monument before reaching the Grand Canyon south Rim. We stay 2 nights in Tusayan. Day 7, we drive to the north rim of the Grand Canyon and stay in cabins. Day 9, we drive north to Escalante National Monument in Utah, a remote area where we have lodging for 3 nights. We will also be in Calf Creek Recreation Area, Death Hollow Wilderness, where you can hike/drive and explore Hole in the Rock Road, Cottonwood Canyon Road, slot canyons, and the Escalante River. We have a cowboy Dutch oven dinner on the schedule at the Wild West Retreat, and a four-hour educational hike up the Escalante River with a retired geologist to look at Indian petroglyphs and pictographs.
