Skiyente Ski Club is an all women’s ski club which has been in existence for 60 years. We are open to all women 21 years or older who are interested in camaraderie, snowsports, recreational racing, community service, and just having fun. The enthusiasm of this women’s ski club shows in all of its activities and is contagious! Dues are $50/year.  The club’s 70 plus members meet the first Tuesday from September to May. The club annually bestows its prestigious “King Winter” title upon an individual who has contributed significantly to winter sports on Mt. Hood at a coronation ceremony and dance at Charlie’s Mountain View in Government Camp. Skiyente supports many charities, including the Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum, the Erin Nicole Memorial Scholarship (which sponsors a female racer from the Pacific Northwest), breast cancer research, and other fine charities. We have many other fun events, including an annual Membership Drive and Fashion Show, a Holiday Fireside gathering, skiing trips, tailgaters, and functions throughout the spring and summer. Many of our events are open to spouses, friends and families. A Skiyente PACRAT race team consistently finishes in the top standings against other Portland club teams. We are all very enthusiastic women and are always looking for new members. Come join us!
