Skihawks Ski Club

Skihawks is a ski and social club for adults with approximately 100 members who live in the South Puget Sound area of Washington State. Dues are $35 per year. Major events include an annual Holiday Dinner & Dance, spring pizza party, and summer picnic. We meet twice a month, on the second and fourth Thursdays, at local restaurants in the South Sound area (check out our website www.skihawks.org for current meeting locales). The fourth Thursday of the month is our business meeting which normally includes a guest speaker and includes plenty of time to chat over dinner at the Hawks Prairie Restaurant in Lacey. The second Thursday of the month is dedicated to socializing in various pubs and restaurants. It’s during our many social events that ideas are generated about what activities members want included in upcoming months. Whether it’s kayaking 17 miles around the Kana Pali Coastline of Kauai, hiking the Waimea Canyon Rim or the trails of the Olympia and Cascade Mountains, enjoying “Skihawks Day at the Races” at Emerald Downs Race Track, participating in a local air show (for which a member built his own plane), cruising together in the Caribbean, traveling together to Reno for casino fun after tearing up the slopes at Tahoe, snowshoeing the trails near Leavenworth, or dancing the night away with fellow Skihawks, this club truly lives up to its motto, “Winter, spring, summer fall…Skihawks do it all! Just say where and we’ll be there!”
