Oregon Adaptive Sports, established in 1996, is a nonprofit year-round organization that provides life-changing outdoor recreation experiences to individuals with disabilities. We offer half-day, full-day and group lessons to first timers, weekend warriors, seasoned athletes with disabilities of all ages. The OAS staff consists of certified adaptive instructors in the disciplines of monoski, bi-ski, 3-track, 4-track, alpine and snowboard. In addition, the support of dedicated ski volunteers results in top quality experiences. Participants gain confidence, build self-esteem and strive for independence leading to an enhanced quality of life. Our winter season runs from mid-December to early April at Mt. Bachelor and Hoodoo Ski Area, depending on snowfall and conditions. During the summer OAS offers golf, cycling, kayaking and hiking in and around Central Oregon. To prevent cost from being a barrier to participation, we have a robust scholarship program thanks to the support of hundreds of volunteers, businesses, donors and sponsors.
