Northwest Trail Alliance
P.O. Box 1846, Portland, Oregon 97207-1846
Why is a mountain bike advocacy group listed on a snow sports club website? Winter doesn't last forever, and once the snow melts, and you hang up the board(s), you may want to hit the mountain on a bike. When you do, Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA) is your resource.
NWTA is dedicated to creating, enhancing, and protecting riding opportunities in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington. We advocate for trail access, promote responsible mountain biking, and build and maintain sustainable trails. In December 2009, Northwest Trail Alliance enrolled in the newly launched chapter program of the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) and became the first IMBA Chapter in the Northwest.
While our organization advocates for mountain biking and off-road bike trails, many of our members are also enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders. We love introducing newcomers to the sport, and to the incredible trails in the region. All of our events are open to members and non-members alike. Monthly general membership meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month. If you like the idea of supporting mountain bike advocacy and trail stewardship in our area, please join us and become a member. Membership is only $30 per year, and 100% of your membership fee goes toward supporting our advocacy efforts. For more information about our organization, and our events and resources, please visit our website or our Facebook page.
NWTA is a member of the International Mountain Bicycling Association www.imba.org).
