Mt. Hood Cultural Center & Museum
P.O. Box 55, Government Camp, Oregon 97028
The Mt. Hood Cultural Center and Museum opened its doors in 2001, after several years of hard work from a dedicated group of citizens who formed the core of the Government Camp Historical Society. Located in the heart of Government Camp, Oregon, the Museum strengthens community, fosters arts and letters, and protects, stabilizes and showcases all aspects of the history of Mt. Hood. With interpretive exhibits, educational programming, and the arts, the Museum promotes an understanding about our shared history and the challenges of our future. The Museum and visitor information center is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. Clubs or organizations are invited to join the Museum for annual dues of $300. This allows the organization to use Museum facilities for scheduled events without paying the usual $400 facility charge. Other perks are listed on the Museum website. Individual memberships of $20 and family memberships of $40 help support this very worthy facility.
