SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle Race - Mt. Bachelor to Old Mill District

  • Mt. Bachelor resort 13000 Southwest Century Drive Bend, OR, 97702 United States (map)

Held each May, the SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle has been a tradition in Central Oregon tradition since 1976 and is the largest multi-sport event in Oregon. The SELCO Pole Pedal Paddle is also a critical fundraiser for MBSEF, a Central Oregon nonprofit that creates opportunities through competitive snow sports programs to support athletes in achieving their individual athletic, academic, and personal goals. Each year, this beloved community event brings thousands of competitors, spectators, and volunteers together for what has become the ultimate celebration of the Central Oregon lifestyle.

The multi-sport race includes alpine and cross-country skiing, cycling, running, and kayaking, and stretches from the slopes of Mt. Bachelor to the finish line in Bend’s Riverbend Park. Athletes of all ages compete in divisions ranging in skill level from novice to elite, and either individually or as part of a team.

PSA: Century Drive will be closed to DOWNHILL traffic from 9:00 a.m. until the race finishes. All guests leaving the mountain will be required to use the Sun River route to get back to town.
