We are joining the Intermountain Ski Council on this trip. Their roundtrip bus from Boise to Zermatt costs an additional $70. For those taking the bus, a deluxe motor coach will leave Boise Outlet Mall at 11:30 AM, Thursday January 24th. We’ll have pizza on the bus and arrive at the Swiss Village Resort of Zermatt about 6:00 pm.
If you plan to fly into Salt Lake City, the transfer costs from the airport to Zermatt are approximately $50. You are also welcome to drive yourself or carpool with your friends.
This will be a first class trip with excellent accommodations. The trip cost includes a hot buffet breakfast each morning, full use of the resort spa, pools, exercise equipment, and other amenities. We’ll have a welcome social Friday evening hosted by the Park City Mountain Sports Club. These folks know how to have a party!
Zermatt has free shuttle buses to all the local ski areas for guests. For bus riders from Boise and others taking advantage of the $200 lift ticket package, the first day of skiing and riding will be at Sundance Resort Friday, with the second day at Solitude and the third day at Brighton. If anyone wants to ski Deer Valley or Park City at an additional cost, transportation from Zermatt is available.
If you drive (or rent a car), you could go to other resorts in the area and use some of the mega-passes. Park City is on the Vail Epic Pass. The Mountain Collective Pass includes Alta, Snowbird, and Snowbasin. The Ikon Pass includes Deer Valley, Brighton, and Solitude, as well as Alta and Snowbird.
The Sundance Film Festival will be ongoing during our trip, and transportation to and from Park City will be available for anyone want to join in with the festivities.
This trip includes 3 full days on the mountains. Sunday evening will be an excellent time to be festive in Park City. The bus will return to Boise Monday afternoon, leaving Zermatt at 1:00 PM.
The cost is only $780 per person/double occupancy. and includes all the porter fees, resort fees and taxes for the resort, breakfast each day, plus 3 days lift tickets to Sundance, Solitude and Brighton.
