Celebrate Mount Hood at Heritage Night 2017
Sailing in the San Juan Islands, two nights in a Steiner Cabin, and a new cargo trailer are a sampling of the great items up for auction at the annual Heritage Night at the Mt. Hood Museum in Government Camp. “Welcome Home to the Mountain: Heritage Night 2017” takes place Saturday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. The annual celebration at the mountain includes, food, beverages, live music, great company and auctions that feature cool art, Mount Hood memorabilia, wine, ski passes and much more. Museum membership is the ticket to the party, and it is possible to join the museum or renew memberships at the door. Individual memberships are $20 and family memberships are $40. Contact the Mt. The Mt. Hood Museum preserves and showcases the rich history of Mount Hood through interpretive exhibits and educational programming. The museum features six galleries that highlight the history of the mountain's early exploration, winter sports, settlement and natural history. The museum in the center of Government Camp, the Mt. Hood Information Center and the Museum Gift Shop are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
