Carpool trip; members only. First night in Boise, Idaho; staying at the downtown Modern Hotel conveniently located near the Boise Greenbelt, a paved biking & hiking trail along the Boise River. The next 3 nights in Stanley, Idaho in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. Our cabins and motel rooms are just feet from the Salmon River. We will be hiking, biking or kayaking at Stanley Lake, Redfish Lake or rafting in the Salmon River. We are sharing meals in our cabins. The next 2 nights we will stay near Sun Valley ski resort at the Best Western Tyrolean Lodge. You can enjoy the outdoor hot tub and pool plus miles of biking, walking and hiking trails in this great area. If you have an appropriate bike, don't miss the Harriman 20-mile gravel down slope bike trail between the Sawtooth Visitor Center and Galena Lodge where we have a BBQ dinner our last night in Sun Valley . We will break up the drive home with a stay at the Union Historic Hotel. We will have dinner there on our last night while we enjoy the Blue Mountains of Oregon.
One of the best things about belonging to a ski club is taking advantage of group trips offered to places you might not visit on your own – and the chance to make many new friends! There is nothing like an active trip spent with like minded people to expand your social horizons and well being. Clubs travel by car, buses, trains, and airplanes. Adventure awaits: you just need to take advantage of the opportunities offered!
