This is your chance to ski Sun Valley, one of the oldest and loveliest ski areas in the United States. Join the Mt Hood Gang for our great Sun Valley Ski Week, January 28-February 4, 2023. The Mt Hood Gang is not the name of an organization, it is the name of a ski week at Sun Valley. This is a great trip to bring your family and have a great time skiing with or without your kids.
This trip is being organized by Jim Inkster, Kathy McBee and Sue Rimkeit. We have an exciting week planned at discounted lodging and lift ticket prices. Sun Valley offers great Cross Country, Downhill Skiing, and Snowshoeing, and a great atmosphere. We are no longer able to hold hospitality parties at the Harriman Cottage, but we will have a hosted group dinner, various “Meet-ups” during the week, and a no-host group lunch at the Round House. Sun Valley has a free bus service to transport skiers from lodging to lifts to ski, or to town to dine out or shop.
You have a choice of accommodations: hotel rooms at Sun Valley Lodge and Sun Valley Inn; or one, two and three bedroom Condos, all at specially discounted lodging and lift ticket prices for our group. For Alpine skiing, Dollar Mountain is the best place to learn to ski and then quickly graduate to skiing Mt. Baldy with its legendary runs and 3,000 ft of vertical. If you are a Cross Country skier or Snowshoer, you have choices of the Sun Valley Nordic Center, Galena Lodge on Galena Pass, and the many trails in the wilderness.
Ketchum, Idaho has some of the best restaurants, both in the mountain lodges and in town that you can find anywhere. Shopping at the great shops and fabulous thrift stores is an experience not to be missed.
