Oregon Nordic Club - Portland Chapter
The Oregon Nordic Club has chapters throughout the state; the Portland Chapter was founded in 1968. Dues are $29 for a single or $35 for a family. A general membership meeting is held the first Tuesday of most months at the Lucky Lab, 1945 N.W. Quimby St., Portland, beginning at 6:30 pm with refreshments and social. At 7:30 pm there are announcements and a program related to Nordic (cross-country) skiing or other outdoor adventures appealing to guests and club members. Meetings are free, and non-members are welcome! Year-round club activities include overnight ski trips, day ski tours, and, in the off-season, bicycling and hiking. The club works with the Forest Service to develop new cross country trails, and maintains existing trails in Northern Oregon and Southern Washington. The Portland Chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club manages the Tilly Jane A-Frame and Guard Station Cabins, under an agreement with the Forest Service.
