Cascade Prime Timers
Cascade Prime Timers is a non-profit organization of people age 50+ who realize that staying active and enjoying socializing with friends are very important elements of a healthy and happy lifestyle. We enjoy the camaraderie of friends in the winter sports of downhill and cross country skiing and snowshoeing and the summer sports of hiking and kayaking. We are also open to a variety of other activities such as bridge, ethnic dining, and informal parties. Our club currently has about 400 members. Annual dues for new members are $47 for singles and $79 for couples who share the same address; and $42 and $74 for annual renewals. Social meetings are held six times a year, usually on the last Monday of the month. In July we have a picnic, and in April and November we have a banquet that also serves as a business meeting. Guests are welcome at socials, day hikes, and day kayak trips. January through March members meet for midweek downhill skiing at Mount Hood Meadows and Timberline, a cross country group meets on Thursdays, and a snowshoe group meets on Fridays. We have a variety of usually week long winter skiing trips to major ski areas in the US and Canada, and summer hiking, camping, and kayaking trips. These are open to members only. We are a totally volunteer run organization, so things only happen when members make them happen, but that usually works quite well. Find out more about us on our website or our Facebook page.
